Abstract

This study presents a concise overview of the life, poetic vision, and literary contributions of an eminent Urdu poet Mahmood Hashmi. It explores the thematic richness, stylistic features, and intellectual depth of the Mahmood Hashmi’s work, highlighting how personal experiences, social realities, and cultural traditions are reflected in his poetry. This study also emphasizes the Hashmi’s role in the development of Urdu literature, particularly in enriching poetic forms such as ghazal and poem. Through an analytical approach, the study underscores the poet’s lasting influence on later generations and his significance in expressing human emotions and aesthetic values within the broader literary tradition.
