Mushtaq Ahmad Yusufi (September 4, 1921- June 20, 2018) holds a unique position in Urdu literature, based on his distinctive style of writing especially in the genre of Humor. His extensive study and in depth observations make his written works highly effective, his literary style captures the reader from a fresh perspective while keeping them fully engaged. He is a master humorist and satirist in Urdu literature, a fact for which his work provides perfect proof. He introduces many humorous characters to readers of Urdu literature. This article focuses on the characters of Mirza Abdula Wadood Baig, Qazi Abdul Qadoos, Agha Tameez Ul Rehman, Sheikh Sibghat Ullah, Zargham Ul Islam written by Mushtaq Ahmad Yousufi in his book Chiragh Talay, Khakam Badahan, Shaam e Shair e Yaran.
