Abstract

The concept of “The White Man's World” is often seen as a myth of beauty that romanticizes colonialism. This perspective highlights the stark divisions created under British colonial rule between “Backward” nations and those considered “Civilized”. Such distinctions served to justify the domination of diverse cultures, framing colonialism as a benevolent endeavor. In the guise of Neo-Democracy, powerful nations pursue the subjugation of weaker ones to exploit their resources and expand their territories. Hassan Manzar illustrates these contrasting worlds of the colonizers and the colonized emphasizing that the beauty associated with the White Man's World often masks the harsh realities of oppression and exploitation that define it. This Article tries to explore the writer’s insights of critical re-evaluation of the narratives shaping our understanding of colonial history.
