Abstract

By the end of the 20th century, the world had evolved into a rudimentary form of a global village. With the beginning of the 21st century, the world turned upside down, and everything took on an artificial form. The narratives of caste, colour, race, politics, society, culture, civilization, and the entire way of life are changing. The obsession with border-bound power ran rampant, and the desire for global power fueled the madness of global wars, destroying everything in their path. Hijab Imtiaz Ali Taj's novel "Pagal Khana" gives a detailed analysis of the above situation. This novel shows the entire social culture of the late 20th century changing completely in the 21st century. This article consists of a special study of the political, cultural, and social narratives of the novel "Pagal khana" in the face of the narrative of global power. This article is a lamentation for the decline of the social situation that is ready to fall due to the decline of political chaos, and it is also a rich lesson that encourages the reader to read and think.
