An Overview of Social Ethics in the Short Stories of Bano Qudsia

Bano Qudsia is a prominent fiction writer famous for her social and moral stories. There has been an extensive research work on Qudsia, but it has never been looked into with the perspective of social ethics and moralities present in her stories. She explained the social issues like poverty, illiteracy, domestic violence, gender discrimination, racism, dowry system and forced marriage in her stories. The aim and reason of writing this article is to visualize “Social Ethics” revealed by Bano Qudsia in her short stories. After the establishment of Pakistan, Bano remains prominent among women fictionist who wrote about Social Ethics.
