Abstract

Novel "Adh Adhooray Log" is written in the historical background of Bahawalpur State (former). Historical identity of the state has been spoiled under a conspiracy. Bahawalpur State was a prosperous state before partition. Being a Muslim state Bahawalpur joined Pakistan but this proved fatal for the state and its inhabitants. This novel portrait historical events and individuals with their psychological complications. After Jinah's death, people in power deprived Bahawalpur of its identity first and then provincial rights. Poverty, hunger, and inferiority complex became the fate of people of the state. This novel is the tragic story of such people. This research article intends to makes an analysis of the awareness produced by the novel's historical, cultural, and political dimensions in the context of Bahawalpur State.
